  • The category is crowded but has no leader. A Shopify App Store search for "epr packaging" returns about 9 apps built specifically for packaging-EPR reporting. They sit alongside unrelated ERP and shipping-protection apps.
  • Almost nobody has social proof yet. 8 of the 9 dedicated apps whose listings we reviewed show 0 reviews. The only rated one is EPR Insights at 5.0★ from 3 reviews.
  • Prices cluster at $9–$59/month for entry and mid tiers. Top tiers reach $99–$119/month. Two apps charge per year ($48/yr, $179–249/yr). Two have a usable free plan.
  • Products are converging on one design: map packaging to products, then aggregate orders by country and material, then export registry files (LUCID XML, CITEO/SYDEREP, UK, US state) plus an "evidence pack".
  • What decides the winner is unclear, which is the opening. Nobody yet competes on reviews, done-for-you setup, or depth in one country. Coverage claims range from 1 country to 9.

Bottom line: do not enter as "another multi-country EPR exporter at ~$15/mo." If you're already in the category, spend the next 60 days on reviews and onboarding, not on adding countries (Estimate, reasoning in the Recommendations).

  • The leader is also the best rated: 5.0★ from 1,865 ratings, and only 0.75% of them are 1–2★ (14 ratings). Displacing it on quality is unrealistic (Est.).
  • Upgrades are sold as yearly site licenses: WP Overnight Pro is €69 / €139 / €279 for 1 / 3 / 25 sites. WebToffee Pro is $69 / $99 / $199 per year for 1 / 5 / 25 sites.
  • Satisfaction varies widely among mid-sized plugins. Their share of 1–2★ ratings ranges from 3.5% to 16% (table).
  • Niche wedges already exist. Country add-ons for Italy (4,000+ installs) and Japan (300+, updated Oct 19, 2026) show that buyers pay for local requirements.

Bottom line: do not launch another general invoice plugin. Win on a narrow need, such as a country's invoice requirements or an add-on for the leader (Est.).

  • Very crowded. The App Store's B2B category label shows 1,905 apps. A search for "wholesale pricing" returns 13+ apps with "B2B Wholesale Pricing" in or near their name.
  • Ratings no longer separate anyone. The leaders sit at 4.9–5.0★: BSS (1,191 reviews), Sami (993), Wholesale Pricing Discount B2B (747), Clay (286), Massy (225).
  • Pricing has converged: free, then about $25–29/mo, then about $45–50/mo (where net terms usually unlock), then $99/mo (API and ERP sync).
  • Free plans are the norm: 11 of the 13 named B2B apps show "Free plan available".

Bottom line: do NOT enter with another all-in-one B2B pricing app. The only openings are bundling features that rivals sell in higher tiers or separate apps, and being clearer about limits (Est.).

Where does the information come from?

Only public sources: marketplace listings, pricing pages and reviews. Every number links to its source, and anything that is a judgment call is labeled as an estimate.

Which marketplaces do you cover?

The Shopify App Store, WordPress.org, and other public app marketplaces such as Slack's. If you're not sure yours fits, ask in the form.

What is your refund policy?

If we haven't started your report yet, you can cancel for a full refund. Just reply to your receipt email. Once work has begun, refunds are no longer available, but every order includes one free revision within 14 days of delivery to fix anything that's missing from the scope you ordered or to clarify it. After delivery, we refund only if the report has a material factual error that we can't correct within 3 business days of you reporting it; in that case you get a full refund. If we miss the stated turnaround by more than 3 business days, you can choose a full refund instead of waiting. Reports are research based on public sources and don't guarantee revenue or business results.

Monthly plans: cancel anytime from the link on our site, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. We don't refund partial months. If an alert or monthly update was never delivered for a period, we'll refund that month in full.
